tuesday, march 20, 2001 -- nighttime

first of all, today is the Great American Meatout, and I'm happy to say I hung up several banners and passedout stickers and literature around campus. and several people have already reported to me that they have not eaten meat all day. it was great fun.

i'm real busy now, getting back into the swing of things back at school. it seems in some ways my spring break was not nearly long enough...though i suppose if it was any longer, i wouldn't have been able to come back.

my break was pretty good. the beginning was great -- i got to hang out with my pals at home, and noah and natolee, which was way fun. noah, natolee, and i flew back together, and while they got to enjoy each other's company, a young military couple talked to me about Jesus. joy.

later in the week, my roommies nicole and heather brought 2 of nicole's friends from boston, marc and stephanie, and an exchange student jaime knows up to the bay area for a visit. they all stayed with scott, and we did lots of tourist junk, some stuff i had never even done before. we had lots of fun, until the last day where we had a bit of a car accident... all of us were fine, but we ended up with some slightly smashed vehicles. doh! not a fun end to their trip... but hopefully the rest of the trip will be what they remember!

the rest of my break was just some hanging out. some pretty hikes, some good food, and lots and lots of rented movies. perhaps it sounds boring, but really, it's just what i needed.

and now i'm here, and now i'm tired, so now, i'm off to sleep!

wednesday, march 7, 2001 -- 10:48 nighttime

what a happy day! so happy, that i am ready to come out of hiding and actually post something again.

why so happy? well, for one, it was finally sunny again, which always brings joy and happiness. and, i totally aced my html midterm (woohoo!!). and i talked to erin and marlies, who i hadn't talked to in ages. and, there's the thrill of getting to go home tomorrow -- for a whole 10 days!!

tonight though, was really fun. i met with mariana and tony of the santa monica chapter of vegan action, and they are SO rad! we had cookies at Mäni's, and talked about all sorts of exciting stuff and things.

now, it's laundry time, so i can pack and go home tomorrow -- woohoo! and, noah and natolee will be flying with me.

saturday, march 3, 2001 -- 12:01 nighttime

(so really, i'm writing this lots later... but hey, does it really matter??)

tonight was beautiful. i saw lisa loeb perform at club largo, and it was a wonderful, wonderful thing. she played almost all new stuff, and it was all awesome. she said her new album will come out this summer, which makes me so excited!!

we got to the club a bit later than we had hoped, and had to stand in line outside. BUT, who should be in line in front of us but mayim bialik. it was weird, because unlike most celebreties, she looked EXACTLY the same as she did on tv (in the later years, of course). i felt like i was actually on blossom (without six, and without all the whoah!'s).

but, silly mayim left before we all got in... and didn't get to a really excellent show. silly girl.
